NASA just placed an order for 18 more rocket engines to support is moon rocket, the Space Launch System. Aerojet
Rocketdyne is expected to supply the engines in support of the Artemis program, which is supposed to have
human moon landings in 2024 and beyond. Each SLS rocket is expected to use four RS-25 rocket engines to launch
the core stage into space. NASA already has 16 engines for the first four Artemis missions, which would include the
first moon landing and a follow-up flight.
