May 25th ,Washington — Virgin Orbit’s LauncherOne failed to reach the orbit in its first launch
attempt within the crucial minutes after the rocket’s launch from its aircraft.
Earlier launch attempt on May 24 was scrubbed because of a faulty sensor on the rocket
“Cosmic Girl” aircraft, a modified Boeing 747.
The issue is depicted as an “anomaly” by the company in an announcement after the dispatch.
Engineers will go through the following a little while assessing the information from the launch
attempt, while others continue working on the next LauncherOne rocket.
